We've hand-selected an assortment of premium performance materials with a wearproof LuxGuard finish that protects against spills and stains. Specially treated fibers are able to repel rather than absorb stains, making maintenance easy. Our premium Eileen velvet upholstery doesn't come with a performance finish, but it's highly durable against the test of time and easy to care for. We offer two different hand-selected Italian types of leather with distinct looks and levels of protection. Marfa is a softer, full-grain leather with natural characteristic marks on the surface to give a unique look and feel. Ponti is full top-grain leather with a softer texture for comfortable living.

All of our handcrafted room furniture is made to your specifications in the U.S. using a combination of technology, modern manufacturing, and old-world upholstery techniques. All of our hardwood frames have a lifetime warranty, as they are built to withstand the test of time.

Our furniture is handcrafted in Dallas, TX, and Los Angeles, CA, where we have partnered with the top leaders of the furniture industry that use innovative engineering methods and responsibly and locally sourced materials to handcraft each BenchMade Modern piece.

How long will it take to make my chaise lounge?

Our production time fluctuates based on how busy our factory team is at the time. Our production time ranges between three to six weeks, which is the amount of time it will take to produce your custom furniture, excluding shipping and delivery. The current lead time for all textile and velvet orders can be found here, while leather upholstering will take an additional week.

How are your cushions constructed?

All furniture styles come with two different cushioning options. The Foam and Fiber package provides a firmer and more supportive feel that looks more structured. Such cushioning has a premium high-resiliency sponge core wrapped in Dacron for the bench and back padding. The Foam and Trillium package provides a cozier and softer feel that looks more relaxed. Such cushioning has a premium high-resiliency sponge core wrapped with trillium fill for the bench and a solid trillium-filled back padding. Regularly fluffing trillium cushioning will restore its shape, loft, and resiliency. We recommend frequently flipping and rotating cushioning to promote more wearing and longevity of the core. Best of all, both packages require normal care and maintenance. Our cushions are also TB-117-2013 compliant and free of all flame-retardant chemicals.

What is the Buy Now, Decide Color Later option?

Our Buy Now, Decide Color Later option allows you to order the configuration of your choice while awaiting the arrival of your upholstery swatches. You can select this "Decide Later" option on the product page. You have three months from the time of order to make your material selection, or pricing will be subject to change based on the current MSRP for that item or discount structure. Please note that all items in your order must have a material and leg selection submitted and paid for in order for production to begin.

How do I know what type of fabric is best for my home?

Our performance materials are a perfect choice because they're treated to repel spills and stains, although some will wear a little differently depending on environmental factors and maintenance. We also recommend testing the smaller swatches with common spills to better understand the material's durability and if it's suited for your home.

Do you offer outdoor chaise lounges?

No, unfortunately we don't offer any outdoor chaise lounges. Our fabrics are stain resistant and pet-friendly, but we don't recommend putting our chaises outside in the elements.

Are your pieces covered under warranty?

Yes. We have a lifetime warranty on all of our frames.
