The Skinny Fat Ottoman's fixed cushion is made with trillium wrapped medium-soft foam and upholstered with one of our durable stain-resistant performance fabrics or leathers.
Toy trucks will roll off this sturdy ottoman as easily as your feet will sink into it. Designed to complement any other piece in the Skinny Fat Collection, the Skinny Fat Ottoman has smooth tailoring and sophisticated minimalist styling. Linear brushed nickel legs or a solid walnut turned leg complete the modern profile.
All of our pieces are custom made and come in a variety of colors and textures. We have solids, two-toned textures, premium fabrics and leathers. I was definitely nervous making such a large purchase (Skinny Fat Sofa Bed, Chaise Lounge, and Ottoman) online, and merely basing it off photos and reviews. However, BenchMade Modern's exceptional customer service soon allayed my fears. I received regular status reports throughout the manufacturing process, and Mike was very responsive and understanding re my questions/concerns since I needed everything delivered within a very tight timeframe. As for the furniture, it is stylish, sturdy and extremely comfortable. The leather is beautiful and soft, and the exquisite craftmanship is evident down to the tiniest of details. The mechanism by which the sofa bed unfolds is smooth and effortless, taking only one person less than a minute, and the mattress ensures a great night's sleep. BenchMade Modern is now my go-to place for future furniture purchases!

We just built an apartment over our garage (an ADU or additional dwelling unit) and needed the perfect sofa to fit in the modern, small space (650 sq feet). Thanks to the pandemic, we couldn't go to showrooms or see any sofas in person, so I had to do all of my research remotely. I narrowed it down to 3 companies and in the end we went with Bench Made Modern based on their flexibility in size, their wide range of fabrics and leathers and the styles available.
We ended up getting the standard depth, skinny fat sofa at 103" in Marfa Caramel leather and a matching ottoman. Due to the pandemic (and the fact that we switched leather colors) it took awhile to get the sofa, BUT it was totally worth the wait!
The delivery guys were awesome (we paid for the white glove service)- it was super tricky to get the sofa through the front door and they patiently removed the legs and then some of the furniture in our ADU to make enough room to get the sofa through the door. They then reassembled the sofa, put back the furniture and cleaned up all the boxes.
We LOVE the sofa. At first it seemed too firm, but it's warn in nicely and fits the 3 of us with room to spare. It's super cosy to sit or nap on and it looks beautiful in the room.
If ever we need another sofa I am totally purchasing from Bench Made Modern again.
