I was looking to upgrade the guest sleeping situation in an extra bedroom/office. Benchmade’s MCM was more than I hoped to pay but I have no regrets. It ticks every box as a couch and a sleeper - perfect size, easy to convert, super comfortable. Really happy I sprung for it! And made in USA!!

I love the sofa. It is in my home office. I simply open the door to my office and smile. The cushions are substantial, soft and resilient. It is a higher density foam than Room & Board sleeper sofas and Crate and Barrel sofas, both of which partner with the American Leather for the sleeper sofa components. Hence, it is higher quality and will look nicer for longer. The frame is solid, and the walnut legs look beautiful. Check the construction of other comparable sofas -- they use pine wood. Why pay a premium price for something like this? I like that it is made in the United States. Have you ever gone on Craigslist and seen the Room and Board sofas (including sleeper sofas) within 1-2 years -- the cushions lose all their vibrancy and the sofas look old and worn. I don't think that will happen with this sofa. The color is beautiful. The quality of the workmanship is obvious as soon as you look at it. I had concerns about the delivery but there were no issues whatsoever. I like Benchmade Modern so much that I now want to get accent chairs and maybe a few other pieces. This is a really great company. I'm very picky, and this company still managed to meet and exceed my expectations. Wait for a sale like I did and just get it.
